This production opened GRSF’s first season in The ARC, the festival’s new permanent home in Winona’s historic 1909 Masonic Temple. The staging leans into that history — set as if performed by a theatrical troupe in 1908, the year the building went up, with ragtime, art deco flourishes, and the venue’s own historic stage drops woven into the world of the play. Will Sturdivant and Tarah Flanagan alternate the roles of Bottom and Peter Quince performance to performance, so audiences who come twice see two different shows.
